Confusion Hill has a Gravity House that wasn't wheelchair accessible. Thankfully, neither girl knew what it was or wanted to go in the house. The girls did enjoy the playground. I can't help but think we stumbled on a new therapy method for Kellisa...

We stopped at Confusion Hill for the train ride. The train tickets needed to be purchased inside the gift store. We were told that the train was not accessible. Not convinced, we barely (aisles too narrow for wheelchairs) made our way out the back door to find the train station. Riders had to climb steep stairs up the hillside to get to the train station. Besides steep, the stairs were also narrow and twisting. I agreed, there was no way to get a wheelchair up the stairs. Even though I couldn't see the train from the bottom, I decided that I would carry Kellisa up the stairs. I wasn't comfortable leaving Kellisa's chair alone while we rode the train. I asked Laurel to watch Kellisa while I locked the chair in our rental SUV. I was nervous leaving the girls alone and out of sight, but they both stepped up when I needed them to be big girls!

The train ride was one of the highlights of our entire trip for both girls:

We planned on camping one last night, but couldn't find an available campsite. We ended up driving most of the way back to San Francisco. We wanted to stop short so we would be in place for a visit to Point Reyes and the Muir Woods. All the hotels in the area were booked because of some "race". We finally found a Days Inn with one room left and it was their most expensive Honeymoon Suite. I think the lady behind the desk took mercy on us and deeply discounted the room. I wasn't too proud to accept the low price and Laurel was very excited when she discovered the Jacuzzi in our room.
