Father's Day
2014
Both girls received fishing poles for their recent birthdays. Laurel has been wanting to go fishing for awhile. We decided to spend the afternoon fishing at Ronnie Van Zant Memorial Park. Since I don't fish, it took awhile to figure out what we were doing. We all had fun even thought we didn't catch any fish. It was nice the girls could share an activity at the same level and pace.
Laurel made two art projects as Father's Day gifts. One is a cactus with broken tooth picks for the spines. The second is a drawing of the two of us fishing from a boat.
Flashback to May 2002 when we first visited the park with Kellisa. I think I pushed Kellisa in her first wheelchair on the trails. I don't think we took any trail pictures (ARGH). If true, this would have been Kellisa's first hike on wheels.
